Ever since its birth a few decades ago,the internet has proven to be one of mankind’s most useful inventions. You can’t touch the invention though-The internet is after all a network of computers and not something solid. It has spread to all but one continent- Antarctica may have internet access, but I am not considering them. In such a scenario can global ecommerce be far behind?.Electronic commerce lends a whole new dimension to the existing markets.The whole world is a potential market. Maybe I could call it a world market store. To sell tangible goods from the USA, you need an international merchant account . And I can assure you that by not getting one you are restricting your market- Asia now contains a little more than 1/3rd of the whole internet population. Penetration in Asia is still low, so you can understand the immense potential lying underneath.
